Health coaches, RNs, NPs, PAs, and Christian wellness professionals:

The Greatest Opportunity for Health Evangelism Now is in Mental Health

The ReMIND Intensive™ certification equips SDA nurses, NPs, PAs, and health coaches to help people address bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health concerns using functional medicine, lifestyle, nutrition, and Bible psychology.

We’re on the cusp of a tremendous crisis…

...but not the crisis you may think. A different kind of crisis. A crisis like the one we faced (and in my humble opinion, fumbled) just a few years ago in the global pandemic.

And like that crisis, how we respond to this one could determine whether we’re the head or the tail…leaders or followers…influential or ignored.

The Chinese word for crisis is made of two parts. The first part means danger. The second part means a crucial turning point or opportunity.

The crisis we’re already in has both the seeds of danger and opportunity for God’s people...those who understand the mission of the three angels of Revelation.

But in order to understand the opportunity, we must first understand the crisis.

A Massive Need

According to the National Institute of Mental Health, nearly 60 million American adults live with a mental illness (1). That’s almost 1 out of 5 people.

Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death among people ages 10-14, and it’s the 3rd leading cause of death among those ages 15-24 in the U.S. (2)

When they interviewed the families and friends of people who died by suicide, the officials found that 90% (yes 90%!) of those who died by suicide had experienced symptoms of a mental health concern before completing suicide (2).

What’s being done to help them?

Not Enough Help

Despite the sheer number of people needing help, the health systems of the world aren’t ready for the challenge.

Not even the first world countries have the staff to keep up with this crisis.

In fact, if someone goes to look for a psychiatrist in the U.S., they will be faced with the cold, hard truth that, as of 2024, there is a projected shortage of between 14,280 and 31,091 psychiatrists (3).

Maybe that’s why, in the U.S., nearly 31 million people living with a mental illness do not receive any help whatsoever.

A Crisis Of Broken Hearts

Just think of all the children whose parents will never be able to give them the support they need. Think of the parents who are stressed, taking care of their adult children with no end in sight.

Ask someone with serious unresolved mental illness about the regret, depression, and helplessness they feel because they live each day… feeling that their potential for living a worthwhile life is slipping down the drain.

Most of all, think of all the people whose minds are so clouded that they may never fully see the love of Jesus for them, accept Him into their lives, and live a life of purpose and blessing to the world… without your help.

It’s clear that the current systems don’t have the capacity to help. But that’s just the beginning of the problem.

Conventional Meds Not The Answer

The conventional medical system doesn't have the capacity to help...

...but it also doesn’t have the answer.

From our experience working in mental health, my husband and I have seen that most people in the system don’t really get well.

Most days it seems the best the system can offer is to make sure people are NOT causing the community problems… that they ARE medicated into compliance…perhaps numb, emotionally flat, sluggish… but NOT trying to kill themselves or seeing and hearing things others can’t.

Is living life a shadow of who you used to be really living? Would you want to live that life?

The system is failing, but it was set up to fail. Believe it or not, as it stands, this is the best the current system can do.

It’s documented.

Let me share some very interesting facts with you on that. Fasten your seat-belt.

Then There Was The Star*D Trial

An important study called the STAR*D Trial followed over 4,000 people in real world settings who were being treated for depression (4).

They did a baseline assessment, and then they took participants through four to five tiers of pharmaceutical medication management and cognitive behavioral therapy. Here’s what the researchers found:

Of those who started the first step, 63% didn’t feel better on that medication.
Those who didn’t improve after the first medication were given a second treatment option—either adding on therapy, switching to therapy, taking a different drug, or adding a second drug to the first one. At this level, 69% did not feel better.

Of those who moved on to the next step, 86% still didn’t feel better after the next prescription change or adding a different medication to their treatment.
And of those who moved on to the fourth step (changing or adding on a medication), 87% still didn’t feel better.

With each extra step, the study participants were more likely to develop unbearable side effects. And in the end, the study authors reported that a total of 67% of people ultimately got better. That wouldn’t be too bad; I mean, it could be worse...

But reviews of this study later found that they over-reported their remission rates, and that the real total amount of people who got better at the end of the study should’ve been reported as 35%, based on how the researchers originally defined getting better (5).

I also have to point out that if those who got cognitive behavioral therapy weren’t included in the study and we were only looking at those who received pharmaceutical medication, the percentages of people who got better would have been even lower.

My husband once met a lady who showed him her medium-sized toolbox full of meds.

She had been given more than 20 different prescriptions (a conservative estimate) over the years.

It took all of those meds over several years to get her to where she was then. She was at a better place, but he would not call it a good place.

And she had to deal with long-term dangerous side-effects such as weight changes, loose stool, blurry vision, tremors… plus the increased risk for:

diabetes

high cholesterol

high blood pressure

uncontrollable face & lip movements

heart rhythm problems

confusion

sexual problems

memory problems

poor body coordination

daytime drowsiness

kidney damage

liver dysfunction

severe skin reactions

risk of birth defects, if she chose to have children

Some of these meds can even lead to dependence and serious withdrawal symptoms if you try to get off the wrong way.

But the system keeps barreling forward in the direction of medication, mostly because... Well, you know what they say.

If your only tool is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail. Isn’t there a better way?

Mental Health Was Part Of Our Work

Believe it or not, as Seventh Day Adventists, we used to be on the cutting edge of mental health. Back in the late nineteenth century when mental health was more of a Wild Wild West situation, we were making some waves. God had been giving us inside information about the mind that scientists had yet to discover. What happened when we applied those insights to help people? Listen to Lewis Harrison Christian tell about it in the book The Fruitage of Spiritual Gifts (1947).

"The sanitariums stood forth, and were recognized as entirely distinctive from worldly institutions, where the chief therapy employed was drug therapy. Instead of the popular psychotherapy employed by worldly physicians, stress was laid upon Bible methods of mental healing. Physicians with a spiritual knowledge of their patients’ needs were able to carry forward Christ’s methods". FSG 306.1

I’m sure they met with utter failure, right?… Waaaaait… What happened????

"Marvelous were the results obtained in some of the cases pronounced incurable by worldly physicians who employed narcotics and hypnotics and drug therapy generally. Prayer at the bedside of patients was a daily procedure of the physicians".—The Medical Evangelist, January 15, 1947, page 3. FSG 306.2

So, I guess it pays to believe God and take action on His Word.

Note that our healing centers were not operated like others around that time. The healing centers of the day were mainly concerned with using drugs and ineffective or dangerous methods of psychotherapy. Sound familiar? One famous non-SDA healing center, Our Home in Dansville, NY, was even against people doing any type of work as a part of their treatment. Writing about the history of the health work in 1942, Arthur W. Spalding said this:

"Particularly was the influence of Dansville opposed to the health teachings of Mrs. White in mental therapy, the employment of useful, graduated labor, and the influence of Christian peace upon mind and body." FOPI 184.3

Notice the three foundations of mental health mentioned. No one was doing that, and Dansville was laughing at us. We practiced what God revealed through His prophet. Now, if you look at the research these days, you’ll see that useful work is something that’s been found to be helpful for healing.

Pays to know a prophet, huh? We were leaders then. We still have the divine guidance. Shouldn’t we be leaders now?

Just think about what that would do for your community if people were being healed of mental issues, returning back to work, blessing their families, and having a mind clear enough to prepare for the second coming of Jesus.

Dansville was also a place that promoted amusements. They thought if people distracted themselves with amusement and avoided manual labor like the plague, they would get better.

Folks, people were going to their centers. It was all the rage. But like anything built on anything other than a rock, it was destined to crumble.

The fruit of those principles matured and people saw the results clearly. Arthur Spalding, in the same book, the same section, spelled out the differences between our work and Dansville’s:

"But if Battle Creek and its progeny of sanitariums had been merely the echoes of Dansville, they would never have discovered the vitality which has made the Seventh-day Adventist health work and institutions so potent a force both in healing and in evangelism…" FOPI 184.2

It’s clear. Guided by God’s word, God’s counsel, and sound science, we were the leaders. If you were struggling with your mental health, we were the people to see.

We used sound mental therapies, useful labor, and introduced people to the Prince of Peace. And it was changing lives, helping people that had previously been pronounced incurable! Why can’t we be that again? What’s standing in the way?

I believe we can get back to that. But, we have to start looking at mental health like Jesus’ looked at it. In a whole-person kind of way.

More Than Ashwaganda

The mind-body connection

Scripture tells us that man was made by God. He bent down, breathed into his nostrils, and then man became a living soul. He was a whole person from creation.

Every fiber of his being had an effect on every other fiber.

What’s in your mind can affect your body. That’s easy to see in the “placebo effect.” Researchers find that if people believe they’re receiving medicine that will make them well, despite it being just a sugar pill, a surprising number of people do get well.

When you do the research, you’ll discover that there are more than 40 physical conditions that can cause you to experience mental health-related symptoms. If we’re going to get back to being the leaders, we have to stop dismissing or ignoring the depth of the brain-body connection.

Get your heritage back!

We lost something between the 1800s and now. We’re not known for treating mental health anymore.

In fact, I think we have become scared of treating mental health concerns. So scared, in fact, that we let the supposed experts do that part. We have become intimidated into silence, even though, if you really look at it, they don’t have the answers either…

...Not the long-term, whole-person answers… not the ones that restore and redeem.

We’ve become so intimidated that in our own health ministry training schools, we don’t address mental health to any real degree. We either chuck everything up to demon possession or blindly throw prayer and Ashwaganda at any problem that resembles a mental health crisis.

We forget that we once knew how to do this. We don’t test hormones. We don’t use functional medicine labs, address environmental toxins, use powerful and safe supplementation and herbal formulas…

We don’t use genetic testing together with prayer and Bible-based counseling to help people recover from traumatic experiences. We used to be more whole-person in our approach.

Running to the woo woo

In our desperation to experience this kind of approach, we sometimes fall into traps. We can be so desperate to help or to be helped that we run toward questionable approaches.

We may even see people who say they are being helped but… the methods we’re learning from them are steeped in spiritualism and ideas that butt heads with our faith. Methods based on eastern mysticism like DBT, mindfulness, and ideas that are unbiblical like unconditional positive regard…

…things like Yoga (it’s not just an exercise) with it’s goal to reunite you with a divine force, new age and eastern meditations that originate in Buddhist beliefs about reaching dangerous states of mind, energy healing methods like Reiki, chakra healing, and crystal therapy, or even mind-altering drug therapies that promote communicating with spirits, sacred plants, or the “living earth” to heal trauma.

I know what I’m talking about. I’ve had to study a lot of these mystic practices in school. When we don’t help them with a Bible-based, safe, elevating solution, desperate people are tempted to use these methods, and take great spiritual risks… preparing themselves for the end-time delusions of Satan.

They need your help. They should be coming to someone like you, trained to understand and apply God’s plan for healing the mind. We were once leaders. Isn’t it time to be the head and not the tail… again?

They don’t get the spiritual

One of the areas God’s system for healing the mind addresses is the effect of spiritual trauma on a person. In the world’s mental health system, if you dwell on spiritual topics too much for your provider’s comfort, they will likely label you as “religiously preoccupied.”

But we know from the Word of God that our spiritual condition, like our body, can cause depression, night-terrors, and anxiety in intense, life-changing ways. People can carry such a load of guilt, for long enough that it will eventually unbalance their mind.

Spiritual issues are real; people can really be oppressed. People can really be possessed. They can really dabble in spiritualism that eventually causes them to lose track of who they are and become a different person.

If you don’t learn to deal with such a HUGE portion of someone’s life (all our lives, really), how can you do any lasting work for God? Battle Creek was known, to the chagrin of on-lookers and nay-sayers, for how they helped people find true peace in Christ.

Where is that being done, in a way that also optimizes physical, mental, and social health?… Have you found such a place?

Meet Your Instructor

Hi there. Nice to meet you!

I’m a licensed, medical school-trained, naturopathic doctor & board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. I’m passionate about helping SDA healthcare professionals and coaches combine functional/naturopathic medicine, lifestyle interventions, and faith-based care—rooted in Scripture and aligned with the three angels’ messages.

I’m the author of two books—Set On Edge and Optimize Your Body, Heal Your Mind—and I’ve been featured in a professional journal for my piece on how childhood stress contributes to chronic illnesses like autoimmunity. I’ve also had the honor of writing questions for a national medical licensing exam (NPLEX) for multiple years.

My passion for mental health runs deep, stemming from some painful experiences my mom went through when I was a teen, as well as my own work in my private practice and in two inpatient behavioral health hospitals. In my free time, I like traveling, practicing Spanish, and spending time outdoors with my husband and two energetic boys.

Time to Reclaim Your Heritage

Despite all that has gone wrong, There’s opportunity to reclaim lost ground. Our medical work used to be cutting edge and that enhanced our evangelism.

As SDA’s we were made to be leaders, lights to the world. We were made to give the light of God’s love to people through healing. After all, Christ healed more than He did anything else.

It’s time to reclaim our heritage, magnify Jesus’ influence in the world, and make a real difference by applying ALL that He’s revealed to us about how to find true lasting healing.

That’s why I’ve created this program - The ReMIND Intensive™.

It’s the program I wish I had access to when I first started out as a young medical missionary trying to help my mom with her mental health.

It took me going through a nursing program, a psychiatric nurse practitioner program, earning a 4-year professional naturopathic doctoral degree, and becoming dually-licensed to fully see what God was doing.

All of the educational advantages Jesus has given to me are dedicated to Him.

And that’s why I want to help you effectively guide people into mental wellness, in a way the world simply can’t.

Most of my private practice has been geared toward applying God-given principles for overcoming mental health challenges. That’s why I’ve put together this program, this training.

This faith-based, scientifically sound, spiritually encouraging program was designed to help you get back to being the head in mental health treatment.

It’s designed to help you get the influence that Jesus had when he said, “Follow me.”… and people actually followed him. Learn to reach people like Jesus, meeting felt needs and then eternal ones through His spirit.

Interpret

Learn how to read and explain conventional and functional lab results related to mental health by using optimal ranges

Learn how to use inexpensive common lab tests your clients can get at any primary care doctor’s office (or even on their own) in a new way to better understand what physical conditions are worsening their mental health issues.
You’ll get access to a valuable tool you can use in your coaching or practice to help you quickly know how to interpret non-functional medicine lab work. Instead of just showing the “normal” ranges, it’ll emphasize the optimal ranges (since normal is based on the average American’s health, which isn’t good).
Know when, why, and how to use advanced functional medicine tests, such as gut health testing, comprehensive hormone testing, toxin exposure testing, micronutrient testing, and organic acid testing. These tests can be very helpful in identifying imbalances, malfunctioning cell parts, sneaky signs of poor nutrition, and problems with chemicals in the body in ways conventional tests simply cannot.

Integrate

Learn how and when to implement therapeutic nutrition, circadian support, exercise, sleep protocols, and trauma-informed strategies for lasting change

Learn the most effective way to introduce someone to a change in their eating habits. I discovered this in my private practice while trying to get patients to make healthier choices. You won’t have to fight with them. They’ll choose it for themselves.
Apply natural remedies and therapies, such as hydrotherapy, botanical medicine, and supplementation, with confidence. You’ll learn why and how to use supplementation, in what amounts to use them, and the time of day that’s best for your clients or patients to take them.

Intervene

Gain an evidence-based understanding of the systematic use of herbs (including drug-herb interactions) and other nutraceuticals in mental health

Create custom safe & effective herbal formulas for your clients… no matter what medication they’re taking. You’ll learn the foundation of how to use herbs based on their actions in the body and their chemical signatures. You’ll be able to be dropped-off in any area and use the local herbs instead of memorizing which herb is for what disease. This way you’ll understand how herbs could interact with medicines, which herbs are low-dose herbs, which herbs can be substituted for another, and how to avoid disaster while supporting the body.
How to intelligently choose herbs, supplements, and nutrients from any shop without being duped by marketing, including how to evaluate research and the most important supplements, herbs, and nutrients for mental healing.
You’ll also learn how to set up your very own online supplement shop in just a few hours and stock it with the highest quality, trustworthy supplements and nutrients. I’ve used these supplements for my own family and patients for years.

Individualize

Strengthen knowledge of psychopathology and use it to tailor action plans based on unique client presentations and root cause contributing factors

Deep dive into common and uncommon mental health disorders in order to gain enough understanding and insight to find the keys to healing. Get a solid foundation of the signs & symptoms, the abnormal thinking patterns, and hurtful ways of coping with life that lead to serious problems and their treatments.
You’ll understand condition categories such as anxiety-spectrum disorders, mood disorders, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, trauma-related disorders, schizophrenia-spectrum and other psychotic disorders, feeding and eating disorders, somatic symptom and related disorders, substance use and behavioral addictions, ADHD and autism-spectrum disorders, sleep-wake disorders, and neurocognitive disorders.

Influence

Deepen your understanding of the professional’s role as a spiritual guide by learning how to counsel and support clients through spiritual struggles

Practice Bible-based counseling principles anchored in centuries of research on human nature and behavior. We’ll learn the principles that help people choose helpful behaviors over harmful ones, what spiritual warfare is, why it happens, how to engage in it successfully, and how to help clients through grief, guilt, and other difficult life experiences.
Learn how to apply the foundational principles of integrating the good news of salvation in the health and wellness work you are doing with Jesus. Give yourself a smooth transition into spiritual topics with your clients.

Initiate

Learn how and when to support clients (and collaborate with prescribers) in safely tapering psychotropic medications

Understand how medications and their side effects affect the brain and body and how they are used in treating mental health disorders. Learn which psych and non-psych medications can cause mental health concerns like seeing things that don’t exist and having thoughts that aren’t based in reality or even thoughts of suicide.
Learn how to safely advise your clients when they want to reduce the amount of psych medications they are taking or how to counteract the the side effects of their current medications like weight gain, sexual dysfunction, and/or diabetes, if they aren’t able to have them reduced or eliminated just yet.

Inspire

Gain tools to support long-term mental, emotional, and spiritual transformation and learn to maintain a Christ-centered, ethically sound, evidence-based healing practice

Develop a template for how to create a follow-up plan for each of your clients, including what crucial elements to include, when you should follow up and for how long, when to re-engage with a client, and what kind of follow-up support is most helpful to clients.
Discover crucial steps to starting a business with the knowledge you’ll gain from this program, including how to optimize your path to success, the most impactful principles and laws related to business success, and how to think like an entrepreneur instead of an employee. You’ll complete this course with a blueprint and a written road map for starting your business.

What Our Students Are Saying

It’s always nice to get a recommendation from some nice people. If we haven’t met, here are some nice words my students have written to help you understand how I can help you fulfill God’s calling for you.

“[I was benefited by] the delineation of specific steps to take in evaluating and assisting a client (i.e. the C.A.R.E. Technique) along with instruction on how to do research regarding a client’s complaints… I recommend [the Foundations of Gospel Health Evangelism course] because it emphasizes systematic thoroughness, carefulness, and documentation, which should be essential when dealing with a human with a health problem… Importantly, it assisted the student to develop analyzing and reasoning skills while thinking of the client as a whole, integrated being…. The course emphasized the core reason for the work of the [gospel health evangelist], being the well-being of the soul.”

Registered Nurse

“Learning how to approach [medical missionary work]…in a responsible fashion was invaluable. Identifying scholarly backed rational remedies was invaluable, along with dosages, etc… I believe this course lays the important foundation of how to approach working responsibly as a health coach or gospel health evangelist… You [may] know how to make a poultice, but what are the legal limitations placed on you as a gospel health evangelist? This is why I have recommended this course to my church.”

How Much is it Worth?

I’ve tried to do a good job of describing the program. You may be wondering what a program like this is worth.

This is a 20-week program where you will have personal time with me. You’ll get the benefit of my expertise—a licensed naturopathic doctor trained in a four-year, federally-accredited, professional, graduate-level program.

You’ll get my support and knowledge as a practicing, board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner who integrates physical factors and spiritual influences into my treatment of patients and have done so from day one.

I don’t know any other way to practice.

If you had to go to a worldly institution to learn what you’ll be learning...

First, if you aren’t a practitioner, you’d have to become one.

You’d have to pay (for example, to become an NP) at least $45,000 and 4-6 years. For the functional medicine portion, you'd have to spend $13,000 to $17,000 to get functional medicine training.

If you wanted to go learn these “functional medicine” principles (which, by the way, originated with naturopathic doctors) you’d have to find a federally-accredited medical school that’ll take you through a four year program of cadaver dissection lab, working in clinics under experienced doctors, and, of course, don’t forget board exams that you have to pass and pay for to make your education count...

All without making a dime while you're in school… and at the end of it all, without living expenses you’d end up with an eye-watering bill like mine.

Sit and look down the page slowly…

An actual picture of what It cost me to go to naturopathic medical school

Yep. That’s right. It ain’t cheap.

The only way I took all this on was because I was under conviction, and still am, that God is leading me. He wants me to use what I’ve learn to help His people.

So now you have a good foundation in the sciences and medicine. It’s time to go to one of our training programs to get the spiritual, historical, philosophical portion and to learn how to treat clients using Christ's method. You’d have to spend another $6000 dollars and take time away from work to make that happen.

I’ve designed this program so you don’t have to do that. You don’t have to give up working and move your family anywhere. It’s all delivered online.

This program is me distilling all my education, trials, hard-learned lessons… real-world experience in treating mental health without using drug medication as my main tool.

You won’t have to open a practice in the Kansas City area and have to figure out most of it on your own like I had to.

You won’t have to go it alone like I had to.

You don’t have to be a pioneer. I’ve designed this to be affordable. It won’t cost you $232,000 like it did me. It won’t cost you $45,000 or even $6000. I’m making this available to you for just $3000. That’s less than the cost of a semester at a community college.

But for those who are chosen to be testers for the grand-opening run of this program, you will just pay a fraction of that. Just $1,000.

Will you be equipped to take advantage of the crisis for Jesus?

You may feel intimidated by mental health conditions or diagnoses, running and reading labs, using herbs in a systematic way without causing your client to have a dangerous interaction with their medications, or even helping clients take ownership of their health.

We are going to hold your hand and walk you through all of that. When I first started my journey, I felt the very same way. I’ve been where you’ve been, and I can see what you’ll need to get where you want to be. I’m here for you.

This program was designed to take someone who is a nurse, nurse practitioner, PA, other medical pro, or an advanced health coach through a series of foundational steps that we will build on and strengthen from week to week.

We’ll crawl until you can walk.

My goal if for you to take ownership of this training and the resources you’ll get access to…. to make some real impact in your community in a responsible and safe way. I’ll be with you every step of the way and you’ll have me as a resource, even after the program.

So what are you waiting for? Go forward into God’s calling for your life.

Take action. Cooperate with divine agencies. The world is waiting.

learn to address mental health from every angle

...I had participated in organizing Health Expos in my church previously. In the process of retraining and redirecting my career, I found myself gravitating towards health and nutritional coaching and was searching online for affordable training schools when I came across SHINE Global Ministry. I believe it was God’s answer to my prayers. I am glad to be learning a lot already. It has always been my desire to help those who need help and enlightenment, especially in the area of their health. This is truly God’s medical school... Hoping and praying to make the best of this training to the glory of God and the help of humanity....

Dr. Louis has been so helpful to me in preparation for my surgery. Perhaps the most impressive point of my working with her is her balance of knowledge on both traditional medicine and its effects along with natural remedies. Her understanding of disease, its causes, methods of prevention, and cure are exceptional. I highly recommend as I see her work as a fulfillment of God’s counsel in relation to medical missionary work.

FAQ

Is this for licensed medical professionals only?

While being a licensed medical professional does help, this program is designed to take someone who has previously taken foundational courses and/or training in God’s healing method and help them step-by-step expand on that knowledge. A diligent, consecrated, and studious health coach or other unlicensed individual could also benefit significantly from and excel during this program.

Will I get any type of certification after I complete this program?

After you successfully complete the program, you'll be eligible to earn and maintain a certification—but there’s one important step: you'll need to pass a proctored certification exam to officially receive your credential. There are two certification paths, depending on your professional background:

  • If you’re a licensed healthcare professional (like a nurse, counselor, therapist, or doctor), and you pass the exam, you’ll become a ReMIND-Certified Mental Health Practitioner™ (RMHP). This credential recognizes your ability to integrate functional, naturopathic, and biblically grounded care into your mental health practice—within your licensed scope.
  • If you’re a non-licensed professional (such as a coach, chaplain, educator, or ministry leader), and you pass the exam, you’ll become a ReMIND-Certified Mental Health Consultant™ (RMHC). This version of the certification equips you to support others using root-cause, lifestyle, and Christ-centered strategies—while staying within an education and guidance role.

So yes, certification is definitely available—but it’s earned, not just given. We want to make sure every graduate is equipped, confident, and credible in the work God is calling them to do. We will share additional information on how to acquire and maintain certification with everyone who enrolls in the program.

What are the payment options you offer?

We offer a one-time payment or a payment plan with 3 installments. The first installment is due before you start.

What if I want a refund, how should I go about that?

If you need a refund, you can contact us at hello@shineglobalministry.org. We will ask you a few questions and then give you a quick and courteous refund. We hope you’ll never have to ask for a refund, but we are prepared to give it. We don’t want to keep your money if we haven’t earned it. That’s why we give you 45 days to check out the program and request a refund if you decide it’s not for you before your payment becomes final.

I already know about herbs, can I skip that portion or any other portion?

I thought I knew about herbs 10 years ago until I went ND school. There I learned a system that allows me to go to different countries and substitute herbs, understand dosing, and combinations in a way that will transform your practice. You can learn some of the things I will teach you in a piecemeal sort of way, but you’ll likely have trouble applying it in a systematic way and it will take you many struggle-filled years to learn these things. I want to give you a shortcut to helping people.

Why is this training 20 weeks? It seems kind of long.

This training is not just a series of presentations. If you’ve taken any of our other courses you will know that we get interactive and require our students to apply what they are learning in practical ways. We give feedback and direction so you can be more successful. That takes time.

Why is this course so expensive? Shouldn’t you price more like other medical missionary courses?

I have taken two medical missionary courses and worked at a lifestyle center. I can tell you that this will be very different. You are building foundational knowledge that will help you not only follow someone else’s protocols but to come up with your own. You’ll learn a lot of what it took me 4 years of medical school, 10 years of practice, becoming a psychiatric RN and NP, and over $200,000 to learn, all for a fraction of the cost. This is the most efficient route to learning to treat mental health without adding medications and while taking into account spiritual and physical aspects we often ignore to our clients’ peril.

What happens after I pay?

You will momentarily receive an email with your receipt and then you will receive another email with the instructions on how to access your program materials, our contact details along with any other onboarding information you will need to progress through the program. .
